Before you send me you quilt, please do the following:
General:
· Press top and back.
· Trim loose threads.
· Trim loose threads.
· Quilt should be square. If it's not square, I'll have to contact you
about any trimming.
· Press and fold neatly.
· DO NOT pin or baste your quilt. If you did, I'll will only have to remove
them. If I hit a needle that you placed in your quilt, it will damage my machine
and destroy the timing and maybe a needle shaft.
· Additional
charge if I have to prep the quilt. $15.00 per every 1/2 hr of time needed.
Backing · Backing
must be 4-6” wider and 4-6” longer than quilt top
· Please, no sheets for backing.
· The backing should be neatly sewn together, with the excess selvage
removed.
· Cut parallel top to bottom leaving no jagged edges.
Top · Please
try to measure your borders and square it up when piecing your quilt.
Excess fabric in the borders will make your quilt misshapen, and makes
it more difficult
to quilt without pleating.

Hand
Pick-Up and Drop-Off
We can make arrangements to meet
at the local quilt shop, or arrangements at my home to drop-off and
pick-up your quilt. A one-on-one consultation on your quilt is important,
especially if it includes custom work. This can be done over the
phone if necessary.
Provide me your batting to go with your quilt as well. If not,
I do have prices for cotton/poly blend and a poly batting as shown
under the "fees" section.
Include 50% deposit when dropping off the quilt. The remainder of the payment will be required
when you pick up the quilt.
Shipping
Shipping and insurance: You pay to ship it, and include $12 for the
first quilt in the box and $7 for each additional quilt in the same box
to mail it back. The quilt(s)
will be shipped via UPS with delivery
confirmation, so make sure there is someone who can sign for the quilt
when you take receipt of it.
Please request and refer to our brochure for additional guidelines. Most
questions will be answered in our brochure. If you have any further concerns
after receiving our brochure, please call for assistance.
Please remember, you must have time reserved BEFORE
you ship your quilt.
