Whether it is bright
and vibrant, or soft and subdued, each quilt has its own personality.
It speaks about the seamstress or of its fortunate
recipient. Because of this, each work requires it be treated individually
and with individuality, to bring out its potential. Working together
to “read the quilt”, finding the perfect quilting style and pattern,
the finished product will reflect the love and creativity brought to
it.
Most of us will be remembered not for the wealth we have accumulated, but
our accomplishments. Many are fortunate to have received this legacy
in a quilt made with planned fabric or scraps of remembered cloth. Still
others cherish finds from antique stores or attics hidden away for years.
We too, can make our imprint on time, passing memories and our own legacy
for future generations who will stay warm under a quilt made with love.
